A Disappointing Vogue Cover

The Vogue November issue was dedicated to two things. The sari and Shaadis. I am fine with the whole 'The Sari Goes Global' but I `am not okay with reading yet another wedding issue of a Fashion magazine. (the other one being Marie Clarie,October2010) Dont they have magazines specifically for weddings? I get it that its the 'wedding season' and all the glossies want to cash in on that but arn`t the people who are getting married around this time have their whole wedding planned by now? And secondly there are ALOT of people who are Not getting married Or going for one Vogue. Why must i read page after page about the perfect spa i should visit (which costs me equal to how much I spend on food a year) before my perfect wedding with the perfect lehenga with perfect flowers, cakes, music, location, lingerie, food, pest control etc. I am sure there is a good part of their readership who have no use for this information.

Anyway. We have on the Cover, Priyanka Chopra and they claim this is that Priyanka Chopra whom we didnt know anything about. Inside there is One or maybe Two pages dedicated to her where she talks about being a complete foodie, how she wouldn't work out if she wasn`t an actor and how she wants a man who is honest.
Shocking!

Moving on. The one thing I did like about this issue was the article on Marc Jacobs and how he has incorporated the Sari in his next Louis Vuitton collection. The dress PC is wearing on the cover is also a part of the collection. I do not like that particular one but the ones featured inside are pretty nice.

How cute is the Elephant with the LV monogrammed Chaddar!?

I dont like the over usage of brocade on the dress but I guess some elements have to be put in to make it look like its been inspired by a sari otherwise it would be just another dress.

I like these three much better than what they`ve used on the cover for Priyanka. They could`ve gone with the last one. Atleast it has a bit of oomph to it.

I really liked their watercolour-easque illustrations.

In the interview Marc ( ha Marc! yeah my buddy Marc!) talks a lot about India and how Louis Vuitton plans to celebrate a global diwali : )

Someone needs to get me that ring from Cartier and it`ll be a good Diwali.

On my nails: There coats of Color Bar exclusive #59.I was feeling festive : )
Its a dull gold and gets a little black in the background after applying three coats. I love that I can apply numerous coats without it getting clumpy. Also the consistency of this is great.

I have grown to really like color bar nail polishes. They dry super fast and i love how many colors they have. They really need to get better names for their polishes though. "exclusive" just doesn`t seem to cut it.

Glitter nailpolish can be a bitch to take off but if you put a top coat to it I don`t think it should be a problem.

The sales girl was Not happy with me taking this picture and told me to put my camera away : (

Did you see this months vogue? Do you enjoy reading bridal issues?

[Lastly I`am verry pissed at the formatting options Blogger provides. There are like seven fonts. Why can`t there be more?!]
